On the occasion of the City Day and the 448th anniversary of Kremenchuk, the Lucas confectionery company produced a 587-kilogram Tuzya candy. The record was presented to Kremenchuk residents on September 28 during the celebration of the “Sweet Kremenchuk” festival on Peremohy Square.
It has already become the Lucas Company’s good tradition to set sweet records for Kremenchuk’s birthday. Igor Pidchibiy, a representative of the Ukrainian Book of Records, registered the huge candy as the largest in Ukraine.
Its parameters:
Length – 1800 mm;
Width – 700 mm;
Height – 400 mm.
They used 300 kilograms of sunflower seeds to make the record-breaking delicacy.
It should be mentioned that this is the 12th sweet record of Ukraine set by the Lucas Company. But this record is special, it is for charity. A huge “Tuzya” was sent to the east of Ukraine, where our defenders will enjoy it.
Nadiia Matveeva, a well-known Ukrainian TV presenter from the STB channel and a resident of Kremenchuk, came to our city to celebrate the record: “On this beautiful day, we gathered for a really good cause. I am grateful that I was able to watch online how this huge candy is made and packed, and now it is here. I am very glad that not only this delicacy, but also our warmth and love will go to those who need it.” The guests of the new record-breaking celebration got their share of sweets – 10,000 Tuzia candies were served on Victory Square.
On the same day, Lucas announced the winners of the “Tuzya of Our Town” contest held as part of the charity project “Helping Together! Buy Tuzya” charity project. The most interesting thing is that the winner was Eva, a street dog adopted from Special Service Kremenchuk by caring residents of the city.
The winner’s owner received a diploma, sweet gifts, a photo shoot with Nadezhda Matveyeva and a huge package of food for her pet. The winner of the People’s Choice Award category received another award that day – the dog Lucia was voted for by 265 users. The voting took place on the Facebook social network on the official page of the Tuzya brand: All participants of the final received sweet gifts.
The charity project “Helping Together! Buy Tuzya” was launched on August 1, 2019. Lucas Marketing Department Head Liudmyla Botalova reminded that: “The company donates 10 UAH cents from each kilogram of Tuzya candy sold to the fund for helping street animals.
The first donation for August was received by Special Service-Kremenchuk, a utility company from its hometown. According to Viktor Bardakov, director of Special Service-Kremenchuk, the funds received from Lucas have already been used to purchase modern operating equipment that will save the lives of animals.
