THROUGH CHALLENGES TO SUCCESS
Borys Lukatsky was the head of the powerful enterprise “Chervonyi kharchovyk” (“The Red Food Maker”) in Kremenchuk at the time. Without exaggeration, this strategic artillery produced everything – from bread to sweets.
However, Boris Ovsiyovych’s true passion was confectionery products – for years he carefully collected and honed sweet recipes, noting the best of them in his notebook. Even then he realised that it was goodies that filled everyday life with positivity and cheer, giving people real, vivid emotions.
SUBTLE CONNECTION BETWEEN GENERATIONS
Decades passed, and the story about grandfather’s business did not just live on – it was carefully passed down from father to son. Eventually, it received a new impulse after many years, already at the turn of the XX and XXI centuries.
One night, when the family got together, Oleksandr Lukatskyi (grandson of Boris Ovsiyovych) and his already grown-up son were looking through some old photos that had barely survived the wear of time. There were production lines seen right behind the strict grandfatherly silhouette.
Something else happened a while later – an unexpected find in the family archives – the same notebook with cookie recipes yellowed by time. Having stood the test of time, people, and industrial intricacies, each of them bore a true passion for confectionery work. It was a sign that urged the family to continue the decades-old enterprise which was simply impossible to ignore.
A NEW STAGE
It was from this fateful push that the company began, in which father and son, Oleksandr and Vitaliy Lukatski accumulated all their knowledge, energy, and ideas in order to create a large-scale confectionery production. Starting with a small shop in 1999, they “grew up” to open their first workshop whose production capacity went up to 100 kg per shift. Since then, they have never stopped. As any business, that came out from the blend of effort and resources, it has experienced its own difficulties. However, the ups were inspiring, and the downs were toughening. The range of products has been expanding, the team growing, and corporate standards were getting stronger and stronger.
