On the threshold of 2022, Lucas set its 12th Ukrainian and 1st world record – the largest Sharzan candy on the air of the popular TV show. A team of the best specialists worked for 3 months to create a candy that weighs 1 ton and is 2.01 meters long.
“After registration, the record-breaking candy was transported to the main exhibition of the capital, where visitors could get acquainted with the achievement of not only Lucas, but also the whole of Ukraine and the world. Today, the residents of our native Kremenchuk also have such an opportunity,” commented Liudmyla Botalova, Creative Director of Lucas.
Mayor Vitalii Maletskyi congratulated the Lucas team on their latest success: “Another record, another step forward in the development of our food industry and in supporting the brand of Kremenchuk and Ukraine in the world.”
From February 14 to 28, residents and guests of Kremenchuk will be able to see the star candy in a real life and take part in the competition by taking a photo in front of the sweet record and posting it on Facebook with the hashtag #sharzanworldrecord. On March 1, the winners will be announced and receive sweet prizes.
“Kremenchuk has always been a warrior city, a city of workers. It is well known that Kremenchuk is an industrial center, a major transportation hub, and a significant cultural and scientific center. And Kremenchuk has long been called a “sweet city”.
The Lucas confectionery company has become worthy of this sweet business both in terms of high quality and charity and spreading knowledge about its hometown,” said Alla Pavlivna Haishynska, acting director of the local history museum.
The opening of the exposition in Kremenchuk marked the beginning of the record-breaking candy’s star tour, as it is planned to be presented in the largest cities of the country.
