On Sunday, December 1, the St. Nicholas Residence opened its doors at the Patriarchal House in Lviv—a place where the most beloved winter miracle worker resides, bringing joy to children every year.
The festive opening was accompanied by performances from children’s groups, Ukrainian artists, and distinguished cultural figures. A special highlight of the day was the appearance of a favorite among many Ukrainians—Patron the dog, along with his handlers.
We are incredibly fortunate to have the most creative producer—Honored Artist of Ukraine Nataliya Karpa, who is also a co-author of the performance that will be shown to children throughout the entire operation of the Residence.
St. Nicholas Day is about kindness, helping others, and bringing happiness to children, even during times of war.
On the opening day, the event was attended by the Head of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church, His Beatitude Sviatoslav. He expressed gratitude to all participants for their efforts and announced that this year, a St. Nicholas Residence will also open in Kyiv.
We remind everyone that all proceeds will go to support the City of Good and the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
St. Nicholas Day is a celebration of kindness and charity, and the Residence is a place where everyone can lend a hand to make this holiday magical for children.
