Good news – the exhibition “Meet near the Metro” continues until January 4! We are very pleased that this warm story has resonated so much with Kyiv residents of all generations – from young metro fans to people from the sixties cohort, whose memories we relied on when preparing the project. We are proud, happy, and invite everyone who has been procrastinating!
“Meet near the Metro” is a chamber exhibition project at the Museum of the Sixties to the 65th anniversary of the “Kyiv Metro”. Here, in one space, the history of the first years of the metro and the community of intellectuals, who entered the textbooks as the sixties, intersect.
Such a historical coincidence – when the whole city was talking about the launch of the subway, a powerful movement was emerging in Kyiv, discovering Ukraine for itself, being proud of it, and in the end – many gave their health in the camps and even their lives for it. With a few interesting examples, we will show how the activities of the subway left a mark on the lives and creativity of talented people from the group of sixties.
On November 6, 1960, the first subway train departed – we invite everyone to go to the exhibition with unique exhibits and vivid stories! The nearest station to the Museum is “Golden Gate”😉
